Great job, the little spirit level that I use for the poles has a magnet also. So you get two tools for the price of one, how good is that? Every body should have one.

Very best regards Wez

Trouble is the motor pole is bent isn't it. It would work if you stick it on at the top, if the bit before it bends is long enough. Or if you know the bend angle of the motor pole, you can allow for it, but the motor must be set to 0 azimuth. It might also work on the underside of the motor, then you would be looking for 37 instead.

once you have done this with the angle finder, are you using a meter of some sort to align the dish up ?

Yes, of course, just as usual.

my word, what have i started, 6 pages in

i was going to say use the top of the bend, or theres a line on the side of the motor to use. (would have to hold or stick) the meter gauge to the motor then, but im sure it can be done on it, ive been in the back garden for 3h ! trying to fine tune 7w and 26e on the 1.1 and moteck, even after off setting on the motor markers, that did inprove the arc! (so my motor markings are not true) end result? still no 26e and 7w on this dish but all the other sats are much stronger. i do find it harder to get them (26e 7w) in the day than the evening, i will have a little play tomorrow, but am a bit angry with it now! lol, got them no prob on the 90cm with moteck, so may lose my rag with it and stick a 85cm perferated dish on the moteck!, and move the 1.1 triax to a fixed point (26e) at a later date.

ive ordered a digi gauge off good old ebay anyway now, so i will make it work! lol

That's the point isn't it, the challenge.

Once you get them, you find you can't be bothered to watch anything.

Very true robbo, but I have this great sidnal and reception on every other sat, well any that we can get, from 23E to 45W. I can get 5W with a great signal and 8W dito, but iI can't even get a flicker from 7W. I have not figured a way to set up my 7025 to allow me to find sats manually, if I could I would say I would have a better chance with 7W because when I use usals and I go to the dish set up in the menu, I get a much better signal, when I move the dish a bit west. If anybody can please let me know who to set up my 7025 to allow me to manually move my dixh and save the sat positions, I would be very grateful and elated.

Very best regards Wez
