Hi robbo,
It could well be that I am that wee bit too far west, but when I had the 500s out the other day, setting the dish a bit better, I was using the diseqc 1.2 and I was anle to get some sats that I can't with the usals and the 7025. I would have no bother if I had my Channel Master up and running, I was well able to get turksat with it. I am as I said another time I am at almost 10W here. I will get that 36ins actuator on Monday and put it on the dish and see what happens with it then. Very best regards Wez

well i've had a look at mine and got my horizon meter on the dish and tweaked it up abit but no real improvement.
the triax dish elevation bracket is so annoying as i had found the best position and tightening the bolts up the position moved stupid thing. going to sort out my andrews dish now and get rid of this diseqc motor rubbish

Wod, i think you are right abt the motor, i stripped my triax 1.1 down today, and put a 80cm perferated ISS dish on the motor, all worked well, but no 26e for love nor money, so refitted the 1.1 on the motor, was using the meter, and was back to stage 1, all good but no 26e or 7w, so out can the pc monitor and reciever in the garden, after playing around awile, it dawned on me the problem was the play in the motor, althoe not alot, but was enough to not be able to get 26e, as you have to be so precise with this sat, so after a little play, lined up to thor, whent to 26e, very slight adjust on elevation, then very slight adjust on motor azimuth, and bang 26e loud and clear!, so it was down to a compromise on the motor play, and all the other sats are good, not bothered with 7w at this stage, but if i go from any West to 26e i get full sig, if i go to 26e from any East, im slightly down on signel, why?, all beause of the motor play.
Andie

i have 26east now but no sign of mbc channels they was abit hit n miss here anyway.
thinking of trying a gibertini 1metre dish to see if that does any better i have no play in my motor as i checked that, with my setup its getting the dish elevation right but cant as triax elevation bracket is awful, no fluid up or down movement

yes he did but not sure on that one. also my dish is near the guttering so is a hassle to work on sometimes
you kept the triax 110cm in use then as it must have made some difference. hope they have improved the elevation bracket on them.

I quite like the elevation bracket, and found that I could adjust it by 0.25 degree at a time, but your'e right, it is not a smooth movement.
I kept the 110cm because it is no worse than the 90cm Fortec star I had previously, on 26E it is no better, but on 7W it is. Besides, I bought it and have it up now, and I can't bear not to use it. ![]() |

this satellite i think you need if have room a larger dish say 1.2m due to the tighter beam to avoid 28e signals.
would your other half mind a 1.2m andrews as theres been some on ebay recently that will get you 26e and 7west i'm sure lol
