Default hotbird 13 East help

Hi,

I am a newbie with no idea about the satellite world- please help.I am in UK.

I want to get few indian channels from
Hot Bird 8 at 13.0°E and Hotbird 6 13 East.

So my questions are:

1. Is it possible to get channels on hotbird 8 and hotbird 6 simultaneously if I place the dish at
13.0°E.

2. What all things I need. i assume a dish, LNB and receiver. If I am correct then What brand of receiver would you suggest? or what are the ideal configerations required for the dish or receiver.

3. What size of dish would be appropriate.

thank you.

The satellites are co-located - which means they are effectively all in the same place in the sky. So a dish pointing at 13E will get you all the channels However before we go any further which Indian channels are you interested in, many of them are either totally encrypted or have the audio encrypted

Oh dear - Its not your lucky day... All 4 have the video in the clear but the audio scrambled, so you will need subscription cards to watch them properly !

Wait about 4 weeks - every so often they go clear for a few days. Apart from that you dont watch them free. You subscribe or you do without.

If you tune into the channels there is a UK phone number to ring, on the screen. If you are interested, indicate that you are, and someone will post the telephone number.

Not possible to enjoy these channels for free.
