Exclamation Pace Di4001NC Problem

Hi Guys,

I am having diffs this box.

For some reason all the lights on the front of the box are now lit and I can't turn it on.

I have tried leaving it unplugged overnight. No lucj when I plug it back in, same thing all lights light up and stay lit and can't turn it on.

Was wondering if anyone else has came across such a fault.

Cheers dudes.

unplug box, take the lid off, pull the red jumper off next to the battery for a couple of minutes then replace, plug back in and see if that works.
also check the upright sim card take out clean the contacts and replace, pull the clips outwards and tilt forwards to remove.

Do you mean displaying 88:88? If so, and reseating SIMM doesn't cure problem, see if atmels need reflowing (especially if they have been off before)

Look at the main board and the atmels are two 48-pin chips located on the front of the board towards the right hand side - sometimes these are removed to read the boxkey. Reflowing means coating the legs of the chips in flux and reheating so the the solder melts and 're-flows', because 88:88 often means there is a dry joint on one of these connections.

had a look at the atmels.they look very tricky to re-coat.would it be better to remove, recoat and replace as the legs are so close together.which would be the best way to proceed?
