Hi all,
I have an old Pace digi box and a 60cms dish. Can I use these to get other free to air sats (other than sky)? If so what settings do I need in the digi box? What sats are available? ![]() |

You can do it with a digi box by going into the menu and adding channels using other sevices, I think, but from what I can remember the digi box is designed specifically for S*y and doesn't remember other satellite settings.
A 60 cm dish should get you 19.2E and 13E as both of these are high powered satellites, but it will only get you FTA channels. You would be better off buying a cheap patchable receiver, there are a few around at the moment, Technomate, Vantage, Echolink etc.. all of which will currently open some good packages. Other satellites might be available depending on your general location in the UK. Last edited by Mickha : 09-02-08 at 09:44 AM. |

Hi,
The Digibox is severly limited in its capability for use on other satellites. It is OK for a quick play but that is all. The symbol rate of a Digibox is limited to 22000 and 27500, the FEC is also limited. The maximum channel storage is only 50 too. There are some channels on 19.2E and 13E you would be able to pick up. There may be some on other satellites too. To check what you can pick up, consult LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite. To use pick up other channels that are not in the EPG you have to use the 'Other channels' feature, and manualy enter the correct frequencies for the channels you want. My advice is, to have a quick play if you want, but really you need to get a proper satellite receiver to view stuff from other satellites. Robbo ![]() |
