Default usb problems on 5400 ci

Hi
Ive just downloaded Darkmans latest loader and patch for the Technomate 5400 and am trying to transfer it to the 1gig kingston usb but it keeps coming up with the message "no available com port".
Any ideas what i'm doing wrong.
Cheers

You dont need the loader.

Download latest patch, unzip it, send it to your usb stick.

Then put your usb in front usb slot on your stb, select usb, then data transfer and select the patch you want to load from the usb stick.

Thats how I did it for the first time on my tm5400 the other day.

Worked a treat.

The memory stick needs to be formatted to FAT, if its not already.

Hi thanks for your super quick reply.
I have done what you said but when i press ok to the patch on the file list it comes up with the message- upgrade "don't power off the stb" followed instantaneuosly by the message" memory error"
what does this mean ? Have i made an error?
Cheers
Damian

Im not so sure what that message means.

Fairly new to this.

From what I have read, you need to make sure its formatted to FAT before you put the patch on your memory stick.

Try downloading the patch again and try again.

Sorry cant help you any further, maybe somebody here will have a better idea as to what your error message means.

Hi,

Something to try:

Go to the Technomate website and get the latest software for your box.
Load it with RS232 (null modem cable) and the Technomate loader.

Then try again with te USB stick.

Memory Error means that you have to load the official software from the Technomate website first, then the Darkman patch and after this the latest TMSoftcam key file.
