Mediaportal does not allow softcam as standard there is a patch somewhere to get MDAPI working in media portal but its not easy to get it going.

HI guys

After loads and loads of research and configuring and help from the forum members i finally have mediaportal working with my cable card

I ended up using emmu then vplug but the method works for both!

Thaks to everyone for the advice and guidence

to give something back im happy to help with anyone who wants to set up mediaportal to run cable tv

took hours/days of work but hey finally was worth all the effort

Apps/Tools used.

1. Mediaportal
2. Transponder file for ex c and w I edited insanns bruteforce progdvb file to work with mediaportal.
3.Agarwals MDAPI file to enable MDAPI in Mediaportal
4.MP4MDAPI_Filter_onV0.2.3.0_TVE2
5. EmuNation2.0.0.10 ( you can use vplug etc)

Well happy now !!!!!

Not very far, I downloaded vplug, and got the mdapi and associated files. I just cannot find any instructions on how to get this working.
