HBS receiver - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hello to all.

I'm totally new at this, so please bare with me,

I have a HBS innovative digital receiver. Only the free to air channels are showing all the pay channels are not working. This receiver is supposed to open all channels, just yesterday everything was working. When I go to system information it says that receiver is not connected to the internet even though I'm using the same router right now to access the internet.

Any help would be appreciated

Try rebooting the receiver. My TM9100 occasionally chucks a wobbler and switches off the ethernet port. It comes back on when its rebooted

Can't suggest anything else as i've never even heard of that type of receiver let alone seen one

I've tried rebooting it still not working

If you have any other suggestions they are welcome....

ts a Fortec brand. Has a hard wired card share in it.

The server you conneect to may be down. Try again in a couple of hours, or tomorrow.

In the meantime enjoy the fta offerings

I have my brother using the same exact receiver in his house and it connects to the same server; his receiver is working. If you can help me out that'll be greatly appreciated since I'd love to resolve this problem before tommorrow - I don't want to miss the african nations cup final; Egypt - Cameroon

Check the network cable - its not unknown for them to go bad for no apparent reason.

I tried connecting the same ethernet cable to my desktop and it works perfectly...

I hope your not running out of ideas; any other suggestions?

Check your recievers settings against your brothers and make sure they are the same

If that fails chuck it away and buy a Dreambox

From what i can see its a clone of the FortecStar Innovative receiver. They are renown for the cardshare going down after a few weeks in the UK.
