Angry Diseqe 1.2 and Dm 7025

Hi all,
I need the help of some of you guys with a Dreambox 70XX, please.

I can't manage to set up my 7025 to allow me to use the rotor manually and save the sat positions manually. I am using usals at the moment, but I find that if the dish is moved a wee bit west the signal goes up, so I think my dish might not just be right and set up well enough, though I have a newer rotor to put back on the dish, after it has been repaired, I broke a bolt in it and had to get a fitter/mechanic friend to fix it. When I do put the fixed rotor back on the pole and dish, I should have my new wee toy, an angle guage, to set it very close to the best it can be.

All and any advice or help will be very much appreciated and very welcome.

Very best regards Wez

Menu 6 > Service Searching -> Motor Setup -> Blue button or Yellow button

Move direction until meter goes up and locks then press the Green button

No idea if its the same on the 7025 as it is on the 7020 but thats how you do it on the 7020

Make sure the GotoXX is disabled in DISEqC mode

Hi nano,
Many thanks for the quick and very comprehensive reply, but the 7025 is very different from the 7020, from your bril pics. I don't know who to capture from the box or I would post some pics of the 7025 so everyone could see.

Thanks again nano and good luck.

Very best regards Wez

You capture from the web interface. Just put the ip address of the Dreambox into your browser. You will then get a username, Password box.

Enter your dreambox password. If its fresh and not messed with either it won't have a password or it will be dreambox

You will then get the web interface, Press the button marked control and then OSD shot to get a picture of the On Screen display or Screenshot to get a picture of whats on the Screen

Wez you should have the option 'many sats via diseqc'.

Don't use the usals, that is for easy but approximate setup as thought out by the motor maker. Use diseqc and get accurate positioning and save as a sat position on the dreambox. The motor will log the position as requested from the dreambox. Remember and write down the sat names/numbers for future reference then if you re-flash the box rather than add extra images, you can just add back the sat numbers and wont have to search for them all over again.

@Nano, wez is in a cave somewhere out in the wild and does not have the option to connect direct to the internet so everything has to be downloaded and transferred by ftp.
