Probably because the TV is on the front of the house and the dish is at the back ( or vice versa) and it is much easier to sling the cable over the roof than to go through the loft.

robbo spot on again, this is a genuine reply from the seller:

The cable runs across the roof and down the otherside of the house. This is now the sky engineer installed it.

It doesn't surprise me.

They made a right **** poor job on mine, they used ordinary TV coax, without connectors on the cable, they just stuffed the wires in at each end and wrapped some tape round. The picture was always breaking up.

I've also read quite a few threads over on another forum regarding cabling location.

I'm not a technical person so when it came to fitting my non sky system I went for a local company who were great. Having said that the sky man who installed the sky system also did a good job. Maybee I should buy a lottery ticket, lucky ***stard.!!!
