just thought i'd post my insight -

as far as i know there is 2 variations of the dbox2

Dbox2 (cable)
Dbox2 (Sat)

These 2 boxes are much different inside, i didnt think it was just the case of swaping over the tunner box located inside the system..

correct me if im wrong,

ive played about a few times with various sat boxes and twin lnb setups, but after all the bother i gave up.. (i know didnt last long, only a week)
to get the sat box you need an active broadband link, hooked up with a card sharing system, were you use another full paid subscription, and basicly clone it(use there subscription) and use the connection to connect and share that card... and watch your decrypted channels.?

best idea prob get a cable dbox2, if no cable in your area then you could setup a sat with twin lnbs to hookup to 2 different sat's at the same time one just of axis, that way you can swap lnbs on screen to watch what you want...mostly Non english channels.
