Hi,
Only one of them would be able to control the dish using DiSEqC 1.2, the other receiver would only be able to view channels from the satellite that the first reciever had selected. Robbo ![]() |

ok got that. Assuming i had a High Def box for the new freesat and another box for all the illegal channels ie footy this would work ok, would i use the non hd box for the motorised dish as that is on 28 e, correct?
Thanks |

Yes, if you wanted to do it like that then yes the non- HD receiver would control the motor.
But since the Freesat boxes are not on sale yet, it is impposible to know how it will react if attatched to a dish that keeps moving around. The Sky boxes for example throw a wobbler in this situation. Normally it is best to have a fixed dish for 28E and a motorised one for the other satellites. The other option of course would be to get a standard HD satellite receiver to do both jobs. Still on SD myself so couldn't offer any advice. |

Yes, one method of moving a dish is using a DiSqC 1.2 motor. DiSEqC 1.0 and DiSEqC1.1 are used for switching.

We are all still learning, as we go along, that is half the fun. You can also have as system called usuals by some and also called goto X. With you find one sat and then put your cordinates into the box and from there the box and the rotor do all the sat finding for you. I hope that has been some further help to you.
I should have welcomed you before, sorry for that, but welcome and hope you have a very good time here. Very best regards Wez
