Hi, Welcome to the forum Adrian.

I am not very well up on your box, but I should think that it needs updating from the net. I think that there is a section here for the Dbox, have a look down the satellite help section and you will come to a section for receivers. If, as i think, there is a section for the Dbox, then you should post in that section and you should get all the help you need. Good luck with your new box and I am quite sure it can be sorted and made work well for you.

Very best regards Wez

I'm using our old dish that came with sky system, so am assuming astra satelite.

Therein lies your problem, nothing that we mortals have will clear anything on those satellites. You need to be on a different satellite to have any chance of getting any channels that your box will clear. If you have a chance try pointing your dish at 19.2E or 13E and you will be in with a chance.

Very best regards Wez

As far as I know the Dboxes are similar to Dreamboxes, in that they are Linux and can have different images flashed to them. There may be support for it to read a Sky subscription card, but not sure, as they are normally used for cable TV, which I dont, and don't want to know anything about.

Adrian, If the Dbox 2 is like the dreambox, then I would suggest that you use the Cccam Emu for Astra 28.2E, because it will update your Sly card for you. You might well need to put the card in a Sly box before you try it in the Dbox, but use that Emu as it is the only one that I find that will update my Sly FTV card. Some people say that you will need to put the card in a Sly box once a month or so, but I have never had to put my FTV card in my Sly box in two years.

Very best regards Wez
