Default Sky to dump- freesat from Sky

I see in the home page, that Sky may dump its freesat from Sky deal, well
this was never avail to the majority of people anyway.

Just watch for the spoilers now from Sky in its battle to keep alive,it will offer sweeties such as free subs for a year, free this and that, never before has this outfit been so afraid of public choice, the majority of which never want to sub anyway, just have the five progs(more in Wales) for free.

The lie if it as to sat,it as to Sky and pay subs for it will soon be dead.

Freesat from Sky is available to anyone, if you can find an independent that's prepared to do it - we've done about 15 of them

Some of Sky's marketing is a bit close to the mark and it's alienated some people - but remember they took a huge risk getting into Satellite TV in the first place, without that, the satellite scene would be very different and without Sky, the whole TV scene would be different.

Before Sky, there was very little live football on TV, just highlights of 3 or 4 games a week and coverage was with 4 or 5 camera's rather than the 10-20 in use today. It was Sky that brought us Live coverage of oversea's Cricket, Rugby and other sports.

Just think if Sky hadn't come about we could have been watching BSB ( British satellite Broadcasting) now, and everybody who had it remembers how bad that was

Without Murdoch and Sky you would all be pirates by now trying getting other countries pay-TV packages.

What makes me angry is how they can charge such high prices for the movie or sports packages, all they send is old movies and re-runs.

until sky came along it took ages for films to come out on Video, then after the film industry moaned the videos came out a lot quicker. Sky do show some good stuff and sum total dross but they are all we have and as far as I can see all we will have in the pay TV market. Even cable use Sky's stuff.

Well Sky followers, I am more polite on this TW thread, what on earth makes you think Sky has done us any favours, it was greed in the first place,so now a challenge, sorry indes your day as ended, choice is at hand. I know Currys does not go down well with indes, but no sub for ever
is beyond Sky.

TBH, I doubt Sky are worried about Freesat, just like they are not worried about Freeview (even with TopupTV). They make most of their money from Premium channels, I really can't see many people dropping their Sky Sports and Sky Movies just because Freesat has launched - can you?

no nether will they drop Sky one, uk gold, the discovery channels etc. and unless 4 and 5 plus things like E4 more 4, 5us and dave turn FTV I cants see sky or freeview customers jumping at it, which begs the point what was the point in the first place? If you cant get DVt the only satellite system that can get you these channels will still come solly from SKy
