I think my problem lies with my polar mount. The bolts where It tighten`s to the 3" pole are only located at the bottom, as when its slack Its vertical, but when I tighten them it throws the mount out.
I am going to put extra bolts at the top, that should sort it out. ![]()

Im going to have to take it down. As there is allot of play in the mount.
And its not sitting plumb on the pole, so its not 100% vertical. Im pulling in show time on 7w but its got allot of break up ![]()

Wow your only about 50 miles west from me it goes to show just how much the signal from nilesat drops in a short distance,
Do you receive any of the orbit transponders on eurobird 2 at 25.5 east just a touch to the right of arabsat 26e FlySat Orbit Network Packages Are you going to put it back up or not?

hi i have the same problem --- same dish 1.8 c.master although mine i think is a bit older ( the mount is a bit different ) a lot of the play in mine was the bearing in the jack - but even though thats sorted now, there is still play elsewhere in the mount which can afect the signal in strong wind had mine about 6 or 7 years now and the previous owner had it a similar length of time -- i,m very happy with it -- ![]() it took me quite a while to fine tune the arc tracking though -its very sensitive to quite small adjustments . i enjoyed setting it up --and learned a great deal --mostly the hard way as it was my first motorised dish l.o.l. regards .c.c. ![]() Thanks for that chorleycat, my polar mount is home made, so it just goes to show that the original CM mounts have play. I was going to try and get hold of a 2and hand one, but wont bother now. ![]() You are correct tho, it is very sensitive to set up. ![]()
