Default Spanish channels on hotbird

At the moment there is only tve 24 horas and tve internacional with a spanish audio option on euronews and a religous channel.

Does anyone know if there any plans for more fta Spanish channels (radio and tv) on the hotbird satellite? I have fixed dish and cannot get hispasat due to a huge church blocking the signal in a westerly direction..... I know there are some spanish channels on astra but don't have the option of moving the dish as motors are quite expensive...

I don't want to lose 24horas or tve (my girfriend is spanish and catches up on the news)....

Nobody can tell you if theres any more Spanish channels coming to Hotbird - only the channels and Eutelsat know that & it would be a commercially sensitive secret.

To get 19E & 13E is easy if you have a reasonable sized dish - you install a 6 degree monobloc and have both from the same dish

I have a satellite sytem I got from lidls (sl - 65 with a 58/60cm dish) which was included in the kit. Will this be enough and could you provide some details at how I go about installing a '6 degree monobloc'....

Thanks, I'm new to this satellite lark and need all the help I can get....: -)

FlySat Spain TV Channels

Yes, there are a few more on Astra(19.2), even more on Hispasat (30W).

You would need to put up another dish for 30W though.

will the 57/60cm dish be big enough for the dual lnb? Also whilst I remember, recently whilst watching the satellite tv the screen gos black (not even a no signal logo) and the sound cuts. Just happens randomly. I have switch off and back on again to reset it.... Any ideas what could be causing this?

thanks...

The 60cm is a bit on the small side, but I think you will be OK as Astra1 is pretty strong too. Best thing to do is to try it and find out.

Losing the picture could be down to poor alignment.
