Hi guys, Im new to the eurovox community, and it seems this is the place to ask...
I am in the west midlands and only recieving about 228 channels, whilst my signal strength is a constant 84-85%.... whereas people ~ 10 miles away are getting ~300+ channels. I have read around the forum to conclude that having an older s/ware version can cause a loss of channels... System info shows that my box has the "kuro" s/ware on it, dated 29th OCT 2007... and because i do not have access to the downloads section, i do not know if this is the latest software available or not? Also, the box is connected via a splitter, but i have scanned for channels numerous times without the splitter AND at both Symbol rates... A full scan returns 35 Tp's which >> 228~ channels. I'd appreciate if anyone could tell me if a s/ware upgrade is a) needed b) will resolve my issues |

You could try and get a full channel list off someone else in your area then download it to your box..
I can send you a copy of mine; but Im in Hinckley (dunno if it'll work but you could back up your channel list first and try it..?) PM me if you wanna try.

You could try the channel list from the people 10 miles away. It could be that they found extra data or VOD channels during their scan rather than extra broadcast channels.

Im not that far from you on the outskirts of W'ton in Essington I think you are doing pretty good if you have 228 channels ...Ive had nearly 300 myself at times but 50 or 60 of them have not been working....the 29th Oct is the latest software,It includes a signal booster (dubious quality) and also wide screen support ..... but the one you want really is the one dated the 15th I think it is as that includes better drivers for the tuner and better scan/lock facilities ....At the moment I have 241 channels but 15 of those are useless .....
Just checked and the one I spoke about with the advanced drivers etc is UFL MAXV KURO 15 10 07 .... Last edited by telecom69; 23-02-08 at 12:05 PM. |
