I have a pace 4000N which works in pure ntl area. I had to set net id and it has the no update mod it seems. Normally the 4000N should not work in ntl area then?

did you follow this method when you set the net id? as it solved my problem yesterday.

right you need 2 sets of files for this job. the first you need to have the files to set your net id which will include netid_fun_v1.6(flash needed to set net id and pin) then your exteep file which you have your bk and ird number on)should already have that off your card and then your inteep file which can be made with the program net id v2.1 which gives you the option of setting your net id for your area and your pin. this program will also allow you to make your exteep if you only have your bk and ird. Now you need to flash these files to your card in the order of exteep first then the flash then the inteep(but its advised you flash the inteep a few times).afta this hold the up and down button on the box and plug the power in and wait till it boots into the engineer menu.set your frequency and put the card in. The box should reset itself and load the info from the card and when its done it will reboot itself agen. you've set the net id and pin now. now you need to get another set of files which arent too different to the ones you've just made.to make a working card you need to format your fun card so theres no data on it. Now go to the tcb toolbar and download the latest AU flash for your area. then the exteep file you have either from your card or that you have made with net id or toxic. reflash that file to your card then write the new flash from the tcb toolbar into the flash write the card with only those 2 files on it. put into your box wait 5 mins and the jobs done

this is doing my head in....

can set net ID with fun, the box boots ok when i have the jumper removed and the netid fun in the box.

when i put the jumper back on, it starts up and straight away wants to update and displays TW page.

when i then remove the jumper, and boot the box again, it gets stuck on AP 52

when i then reboot the box, with the netID fun in, it boots up ok, if i leave it as it is, the box reboots itself after about 5 mins and dispays the telepest update screen again, heh.

when should i replace this jumper?

am i right in asuming that if i dont replace this jumper at all, when the box looses power, it will need the netid fun again?
