Hi
One of the easiest options, if you are in UK, is to get a 1m dish, motorise it, get a patchable receiver (or Linux receiver like the Dream Box); then for insurance on the footie get a subscription to DigitalB for between £130 and £180 per annum. Some of us don't subscribe for any card but simply take our chances on what's 'available' knowing well that there might be times when not much is 'available'.

This site lists all the matches:-
*** L.J.·s LIVE Football and Sport on Satellite TV - Daily Football DigitAlb is a good bet, as one of the main packages that can be received with a patchable receiver will be tweaking their encryption soon, so it won't be obtainable without subscribing. A Dreambox requires a steep learning curve before you could make full use of it and is not recommended for a beginner. A Dreambox or a receiver such as a Technomate 5400CI+ would work with the DigitAlb card. |

Dreamboxes are not patchable as such. They are a lot more versatile than that, you have to load an image plus various plug-ins and emulators.
If you paid for a DigitAlb card for example, this is just for 16E, most of the packages just operate on one satellite. The link I posted earlier gives you the info of what matches are shown on what satellite, I don't watch football myself, so I wouldn't know about ManU. |

DigitalB shows virtually all Man U matches - will certainly be the best bet for subscription then.

Conax needs a card.
I think there are some cryptoworks that you can get with a patch, it depends which package. |

1 x 1m dish
1 x motor 1 x receiver 1 x lnb coax cable a mount pole (scaffold pole) wall brackets (t&k brackets) You will need a south facing wall with clear views to east and the west. You wont be able to get 55w, its c band. Theres plenty of footy on 1w, 19e, 13e. Have a look at one of the site sponsors for a full motorised kit. I got one a few weeks back, its excellent for sat 3pm football, and much more.
