Unhappy "Record blocking signal" on "disc realtime" channel

I get the above message when trying to record that channel on my dvd recorder, the message comes up only when the adverts are on, but stops the recording.

Has anybody got the same problem? if so what can be done?

i can record through the RF but the quality is poor compared to scart.

thanks.

I get the same problem and it's because the adverts and some programs have copy protection software on them......don't think you can get past it when you use a scart

Thumbs up Re: "Record blocking signal" on "disc realtime" channel

Ok i have now sorted this problem in two ways, you can buy a special scart lead that stops the CGMS getting to your recorder for £34.99,

or you can use the ariel output from the eurovox to your recorder then tune the recorder to find the freq that the eurovox is using, some loss in quality is way but it works!

i used the ariel way first until the scart arrived

Most recording problems can be sorted by cutting the communications link in your scart lead (much easier than it sounds, they're all numbered). As far as I know, you only need to keep the R.G.B. and sound links. If you search online you will find wiring diagrams for scart plugs/sockets. You can buy signal only cables (not fully wired) from decent electronics shops.

You can also get a special box that fits between your player and recorder. This seperates and filters the individual channels in the scart lead to enable recording.
