Default firmware?

which firmware should i put on the black eurovox ? there are two in d/loads section one dated kuro 15/10/07 and one kuro beta2 31/10/07 is there any difference . thanks

Beta 2 has a sorta widescreen fix and a signal booster.

Most people go for that one but generally turn the signal booster off.

For myself I went back to the pre Kuro firmware as I hated it but hey everyone else seems to go for beta 2

by sorta widescreen fix you mean, perfect widescreen!!! and the signal boost, not too sure if thats for the tv/vcr out or the rf in? i use kuro 2 beta 29th oct and it is perfect. (well upto now, only had it a week)

Both the Kuro firmwares have the widescreen fix. The first has the booster permanently on, the second it is switchable and does a reset after loading - so backup your channel list

No I mean it stretches the picture and that's about it and it's in no way perfect

hiroki, the widescreen is true widescreen, the only time it looks stretched is when the channel your on isnt in widescreen. your tv should automatically adjust to 4:3 for them. if you would like some pics then i will be able to show you.

Nah mate it's alright.....it's one of those things, I don't think it's true widescreen where as you do so hey how about we agree to disagree?
