Hi,
I just got my SkyStar USB 2 days back and these 2 days have a complete nighmare. I am complete newbie to this DVB-PC thing and think am an idiot. hehehe Well my problem is that i am not getting any signals. I have plugged and installed the proper hardware and software, everything gets detected i am using the 4.4.1 drivers from the official site and i am not using any kind of diseqc (i have a cable directly coming from the dish). I have tried all kinds of softwares from DVB Viewer , DVB Dream, Fast Sat Finder and many many more . but not luck, i have even tried to use different usb ports, the satellite i am trying to tune is NSS6 (i have nilesat and asiasat 3s as well buts its on diseqc and i dont want to get into those complications right now so i am using the direct nss6.) In DVB Dream when i tune is just flies through all the transponders and doesnt pick up even a single channels and says not signal. even server4pc shows 0% signal. Altought my FTA STB picks up 70-75% signal. Any suggestions ?? is it a common problem ? |

Hi, I must confess that I have no experience of your card, or any for that mater. It would seem that your dish is not on the sat properly, otherwise you should have some sort of signal.
I am not sure if you are using the same dish for the DVB card as for your FTA box. If you are using the FTA dish, I would suggest that you drive it to the Sat you are trying to receive, NSS6, and then see if there is a signal from it. Sorry but I don't think that I have been very much help to you. Good luck with your problem. Very best regards Wez

Hi, I don't have one either unfortunately. But have you checked that your LNB settings are correct. Also is the cable OK?

I have SS2 pci "in the mail" from Vesalia Computer and may be going thru same trials you are now experiencing. I do understand that for dbs a "circular" feed type LNB is needed and for "data" (internet) a linear feed is required. Am not sure what is required for FTA.

This may or may not help, but I had nightmares using my DVB-T card with Vista - even though it claims to be Vista friendly. You don't say which OS you are using, but if it's Vista this may well be a problem.

Hi sbt,
Please don't mult-post in various threads. It won't get you an answer any quicker. ![]() Your identical posts have been moved here. All you needed to do was make a reply in this original thread, which would have bumped it. Robbo
