Whats possible with ahaked modem

Can someone explain in simple terms what is a hacked modem can actually do and how it can benefit someone.

I enjoy the good things in life that are free like , I had a ntl box and fun card and not upgraded to a starview box.

Can these modems only work if you are actually subscribing for ntl broadband and pay for it each month.

no u dont have to subscribe as long as u got a live feed

they can be programmed to recieve 20 meg speeds which would cost u around £50 if u subscribed

just downgraded to 2 meg from my 20 meg, was paying £29 for my BB now paying £18, just waiting for my year contract to expire for my to just keep the phone and tv. Whoever is paying £50 is being seriously ripped off
