Question Subtitles?

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get subtitles to work on this box?

I press the SUB key and can never get an entry, no matter what channel.

Any idea?

TIA

Default Re: Subtitles?

This might be helpful although I have a different model.

I have the Technomate 1000D Super which operated subtitles using the Subtitle button on the remote originally as purchased UNTIL the box was patched. Then on using the subtitle button everything refused to operate from remote except the switch off button. I found out that I should now use the "Language" button on the remote, and scroll down to "Subtitles" on screen which toggles between "On" and "Off" using the side to side buttons - that's on 28.2E. When viewing channels on Hotbird 13E or Astra 19.2, there are sometimes subtitles available and sometimes not, so you won't get them every time. If you press the toggle between "Off" and "On" and nothing happens, there are no subtitles being transmitted on that channel.

Some foreign channels also carry Teletext and some don't - simple as that - and my remote also has a "Text" button.

Hope that helps.

Thank you all for your input.

arden: yes, I have asked the question on that forum, but sadly got zero replies; also, I will try the new UR 012 and let you know.

diapason: I'll try an original image and let you know; mu remote doesn't have a 'Language' key, just 'Audio' and it only shows the different audio streams; am I missing something, or is it just a different remote?

Apologies for the long absence...

I tried both the UR12 and the original TM v0.1.1. In both cases, not only subtitles don't work - the SUB key doesn't bring up any dialog box at all!

I might be doing something wrong, but really wouldn't know what...

Thank you for your input anyway and if you have any more suggestions please don't hesitate to post them...
