Default Dreambox 600 pvr cable box help

Basically I want one but was wondering if anyone can advise whether or not if I bought a one from Germany if it would just be a case of flashing it with a UK file to get it to work. Or is there no chance of it working?

Thanks in advance, im with virgin in the tyne and wear area if that matters

Should be a case of flashing a UK image - you may even be able to get a German image to work, but a UK modded one is your best bet.

So you think it is'nt worth the hassle just to save a few bob? Is there any other noticable difference between this model and the 500c apart from internal hard drive availablity. Cheers for your quick response

There's no guarantee that a box from the UK will have an image on it - you will likely try several images anyway.

I've not tried a 600 PVR but I've heard they have a better tuner and better drivers for recording.

So what is the major gripe with buying a one from Germany for use in the UK?

No gripe at all, buy them from wherever you get the best deal.

So a dreambox available to buy in Germany is exactly the same as a one available in the uk. Possibly with the exception of the plug socket?

Default Dreambox 600c PVR

Can anyone confirm whether or not a 600c pvr available in Germany will be the same as what is available in the UK and will work fine here?

I've already answered that, no need to start a new post.

I use a D-Box2 and have tried a DM500C
