You should get a reasonable selection - you may struggle with the BBC & ITV programmes - I cant remember off hand what the dish size required for Astra 2D is..

You wont get C4 or C5 on that system yet though.

Get some practise in at home setting the dish up befiore you go!.

astra at 28.2E is the same one. you can set the reciever up here ie channel lists etc but you will have to align the dish in italy.

A reasonable dish you have there. I agree with the others, a 90cm dish can be a bit tricky to set up for your first time, but after a bit of practice it would be relatively easy.

Thanks to all who replied. When you set the system up on a motorised set up, after fine tuning does this mean if you save the settings it will automatically go straight to the same position again. I intend to use this on a motorhome and am very new to satellite systems so unsure about it all!

You would be far better off thinking of a fixed system for a motorhome. Motorised sytems can be tricky to set up at the best of times on a fixed install.

Yes AS is right, it would be very time consuming and wasted effort fitting a conventional motorised dish to a mobile platform. The pole must be perfectly vertical for it to work, and you would have to get this right every time, as well as getting the dish setup.

There are motorised systems specifically for this type of installation that have both azimuth and elevation motors fitted, with automatic satellite finding and tracking, but they are not cheap.
