Default Choppy picture/sound - Tried all solutions on forum

OK, I know this has been posted a million times but I'm yet to find a suitable resolution.

Basically I have a Sagen Dbox2 running sportster 1.70+, I was running Blade 2.2 both have the same issue.

Yesterday I was watching Sky Sports 1 and the picture would drop about every 20 mins and would sort itself out in about 20 seconds, sometimes you would have to change channel to get it back.

Today I'm trying to watch the Carling Cup and I can't watch more than 60 seconds without it going and it can take anywhere upto 5 mins to sort itself out.

The picture will become all choppy and the sound will go all funny, an annoying squeak and really jumpy.

The funny thing is I was able to watch all of the half time talk without a glitch as soon as the 2nd half starts again it went

I've tried the different EMU I have 3 listed EVOCAMD, EVOCAMD Alternate and SBMCAMB. Neither here nor there which one I use.

I've tried plugging the box directly to the source wihout the splitter and modem, same problem.

It seems more affected at peak times than others, I was watching the music channels all morning without a problem.

Virgin are adament that boosting the signal will not make a differnce, my argument is if they think it won't then try it and see what happens.

I don't know what to do bar slinging the damn thing out the bloody window.

I've read it might be a tuner issue but how would I know for sure and is it viable to have this changed/fixed.

Bascially it's driving me nuts, my brother has had a Dbox2 for years and never had a single problem yet mine has caused me nothing but problems.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi m8
a m8 of mine had problems like yours put on boxcracker blue peer i know its an old img but it sorted him out or you could try an enigma image they dont pick up as many errors(or ignor the errors) that neutrino images do.try google for these.

"Don't" ??? I've read it's the only option to resolve it. Why do you say this?

Well I'm not sure what it's currently runninng not really bothered to look seems as it appears to be working (touch wood).

Watching the Chelsea at the mo so we'll know how it works in a while, if it's still chirpy.
