I had one a few months back where a lightning strike on a power pylon half a mile away surged one of the tower blocks i work on.

It took out half the blocks IRS systems amplifiers & switches, fried the main controller board on the Entrotec door entry system, fried the PAC controller on the token entry system and took out the Warden call system

About £10,000 worth of damage to all the systems which were all earthed

On the bright side though there was no damage to any of the residents property

Only if you've connected it to a wind turbine.

Do you do the warden call and all? Thats my favourite kit for working on, always plenty of challenges.
