i have a pace di4001n and i have read the NoviceAngel Cable Guide Pace
(very good) but the photo of wear you cut the talk back is a bit crap
i can not make out wear it is.I asoom it is in the tuner wear the cable wire go's in but i have 2 tuner togerth at right angles joining it can any one please help a nube

its the one the cable goes into, undo the cable take the silver hexagon nut of look down the side of the tuner for a small starhead screw, remove it then lever the tuner from side to side gently, its got about 25 pins or so at the bottom near the board, u may have to break a little solder at the top plate were it joins the 2 tuners, remove and take the side of then u will see the link, u can just lift a leg of the chip.

just tested the pace box all i get is a black sceen and message saying tune on the front

I hope your in pure ntl area as 4001 only works there, take lid off and next to the battery is a small red jumper, with box switched off pull jumper off for a few minutes then replace, then power box up with cable connected and it will update and set net id, then power off and back on holding up and down buttons in till it says diag on display and your in eng menu, set pin and frequency,power off then on and you should have freeview channels, then put programmed card in.
