For Sky your easiest solution is a Sky Digibox, if you can pick up 28E Ok.

For the other satellites, something like a Technomate 5200D or a 5400CI+.

thanks everyone for the advice, but which one will my dad benifit from. he whats something similar to the eurovox but for satelite- where he can get more choice of channels. hes currently using polestat,m on 60cm dish

Any box will receive all the channels, it is just that not all will be capable of clearing them and none will clear them all.
