Exclamation La Feria De Abril 19E

La Feria De Abril (Spain)

Astra 1KR

11156V
22000 5/6

La Feria De Abril is a week long festival held in Seville every year where wine and sherry flows freely and a million visitors arrive to crowd the place out. The channel is obviously going to be covering the event. Currently fta but will scramble when the event starts. At the moment its just running a short tape loop

AS I was just about to ask how you managed to get that, thought you had been holding out on us and had found a way round the dreaded N3, but I did read to the end and saw that it is FTA just now.

Just jesting, but when I saw the capture I have to say my hopes were raised somewhat.

Very best regards Wez

AS,
It is to my shame that I have never been able to get my network to allow either my 500s or the 7025 to access the net. I feel that it is down to my very poor dial up connection speed, it is 3.2Kbps, at best. I have had much help from Jim and others here and have not been able to get it right yet.

I had hoped to have satellite broadband by now, but they took money for an installation that I told them I did not need and I am still waiting for my refund, they say that they have given me. My card company will refund me, after 30 days, if I don't get anything before then. I have also told Sly to stuff their service and booted them last night, so I would have nothing to share with.

We can and, as you well know, do live in hope and I am sure that when all the packages go to N3 we will see the usual crop of wonder cards and cams, with their great "support", but it should not be long after that when we get some breakthrough and have a hack for N3.

Very best regards Wez

Have you considered mobile broadband Wez? I keep hearing these adverts on Capital Radio for Three broadband at £10/month, I'm sure there is a catch somewhere though, there usually is.

I would if I could robbo, but like everything else in this God forsaken country, it is in it's infancy here and I have no chance where I am living, out in the middle of nowhere. It is Vidafone who have the best deal here. We also have broadband from TV transmitters here, but they say I can't get it either. I have a friend who lives up the road a wee bit, he is from London, and he and me are constantly annoying every body we can, but it is like pi**ing against the wind, all you get back is your own.

The regulator here says that the slowest speed anyone should get is 28Kbps, but when we complain to them you would think we were looking for something that is going to cost a fortune.

I can never figure how they can charge far more for dial up than broadband and I feel that therein lies the reason why they don't want us to have BB, they can and do get far more money from us with dial up. They should be told that they must provide dial up for free, bet they would get BB to us very quickly.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am afraid that it is another no go. There are other satellite broadband providers, but It is still dependant on my dial up for the upload to the sat, so I suppose it would not be much good except to d/l music, as I would still be trying to get on to the download site at 3.2 Kbps. I shall just have to soldier on and hope for some miracle to happen.

Very best regards Wez

La Feria de Sevilla..........I went to it. The week started very wet and windy, as usual, but then it picked up a bit.

Lots of food and beer..........

Look for 'La Feria de Sevilla' on youtube if you want to know what it's about.

Here's a link that shows when 'La Feria' officially starts:
