Hi,
I am new to this cable box business, but it looks very interesting. What I am wanting to know is the format of cable i would need. I am with virgin Cable at the minute but am moving house into a cable area although no cable is installed in the flat. I can get cable put in the flat (will save me paying out the end of my present contract). What I was wondering is would it be Ok to get cable installed for BB in the new flat and the eurovox would still work even if I have no TV subscription? Also, would the eurovox work if cable was in the flat but not switched on? very basic questions but I really have no idea. Thanks in advance. G. |

But you do need a live feed into the flat.

I think that only a cable engineer could answer that question ...being an ex BT engineer I think they probably could if they wanted too and carrying on from that I believe that you could be charged with defrauding the cable company ...again if they wanted too ...its a chance you take Im afraid ...

An expensive and time consuming excersise can give them cause to suspect that you are using unauthorised equipment, even narrowing it down to which model box but even with all that they still need police with a search warrant and have to catch you red handed.
