Default Testign Eurovox on friends connection

Hi all,
i've seemingly conviced the ex-wife that she needs a eurovox and needs to stop paying sky subscriptions. This could ultimately stop her for asking for more maintenance

Before buying one for her would it be a good idea if i took mine around to see if the existing channel setup works for her?
I am on VM, her old cable from years back is with N**. We live about 10 miles apart in Nottingham.

My thinking is that i just plug my eurovox into her cable and see what i get, without powerscanning. If the channels work then does that mean its all good to buy her a box and powerscan for all channels?

All advice appreciated, thanks

I would assume that all of Nottingham uses the same Channel Line-up, so yours should work at her house (assuming her cable feed is live).

If you have sorted your channels, you could load your channel list on her box to save having to edit them again

Connect your Eurovox to your PC with the Null-Modem cable, run the UFL Firmware loader program. In the Channel data box, click upload, enter a name for the file and save it to your PC. Next connect the target Eurovox to the Null-Modem cable and start the UFL, this time click Download in the channel data box, select the same file and send it to the box. The box will re-boot and the job is done.

You can also use the editor built in to the program to edit the channel lists, or even use Voxer to upload, edit and download - dead easy

Thanks, i take it the UFL Firmware Loader program is actually on the Eurovox itself?
I've googled 'Voxer' and it shows results for this forum, lol.
I hope it aint in the 'downloads' section because i don't have enough posts to get it.

The Downloads links are open to all Members - the UFL is the firmware loader that you run on the PC. Voxer is a Channel editor that you could also use to update firmware before the UFL's were introduced. The box needs connecting to the PC with a Null-Modem cable.
