Smile to unbrick cable modems, without lifting the chip!

for more info pm me... i dont want to say hear just in case some1 from virgin is looking! you know what i mean.... but its 100% working. done 3 so far....

I've seen this posted elsewhere. There's no problem in posting a description of how to locate the JTAG points here. Any links need to go in the Private FTA section and be not clickable.

I don't think I have a steady enough hand to grind a hole in the circuit board without making a mess

this has not been confirmed by anyone of note yet by all means try it but furthest anyone has deffo got is detecting the bcm but couldnt read/flash it

you need a dremal kit with a realy small blade, then cut a sqare and it just lift's out. nice a clean then....

the hardist part if soldering the wire to the points, coz all you got is a cupple of mill to play with..

its defo 100% working.. you cant read it but you can flash it.. it can sometimes take a cupple of go but it does work..

Hi All

Has anyone got a better pic of the solder point for the 250 JTAG ? its not so clear and it seems like there are quite a few.
