I have some one in Germany who wants to send me about £1000 via bank transfer and they asked for my IBAN & Banks BIC address is it safe to do this and do UK banks charge for receiving money like this? any one know

Yes there are no problems, i have done it several times.

True it is safe. And if you are paid in Euros it wont cost more than a local transaction.
