i have a eurovox 2008, just wanted to update the firmware to get widescreen.

can sum1 please tell me exactly which cable to buy my laptop only has usb output.

As far as I know you can only connect via RS232, unless someone knows better........

you need to buy a USB to serial adapter and a null modem serial cable.

They are a lot like the ones that I sell - some people have had problems getting them to work with Vista.

You can get one here USB to Serial Adaptor Cable, USB 2.0 to RS232 Serial Adaptor Cable UK - Techfocus

You can get a null modem cable from here Data Cables - Standard and Null Modem Cables

You could also get them from ebay but Im having a problem with their search feature at the moment so cannot post links sorry ..

I couldn't get a USB to serial adaptor to work with my null cable and ended up buying a PCI card for my desktop.

Would suggest if a m8s PC has a serial plug ask if you can use theirs to update your box
