Hello all,
I have an sl65/12 which is all working fine and driving a 80cm dish just fine. I am now trying to set up a Technotrend S-1500 in my computer. I have looked at the manual and the SL65/12 as a loop through output for Analogue receivers. Am I correct in thinking that this will not feed the TT S-1500 (possible problems with freq being too low). Would it be better to swap single LNB and replace with Dual output LNB. I understand that both methods ie. loopthrough and dual LNB, pose problems for one receiver messing up the settings of the other. My main reason for wanting the TT on line is for the recording possiblities the PC offers. Many thanks Westie |

The loopthrough is OK as long as you dont want to watch something on one channel and record something different on another, as this would cause problems as the 2nd receiver would have use the same polarity and band as set by the 1st receiver.

Many thanks both. I have ordered a dual output LNB but in the mean time I will use the loop through.
I have been trying Altdvb with my TT S-1500 and when I ask for Disecq Console it tells me the drivers/hardware doesnt support Disecq. So it looks as if I am going to have to use the SL65/12 to move the motor and then switch to the TT. For this reason I think the dual LNB will be best. thanks Westie |

That would do the job just fine for you, you will have to turn the SL to stand by when you want to view a channel on a different transponder.
Very best regards Wez

Hi robbo that is what I meant, but did not say it, thanks for making it more obvious. It is ever so easy to forget that beginners need everything explained in detail.
Thanks again robbo. Very best regards Wez
