Installers in Northern Ireland

I want to get a motorised satellite system installed in my new
dwelling in Northern Ireland, does anyone have contact details
of anyone that can help.

I dont know any installers but can say its really is not that difficult to install yourself and we are more than willing to help you on here

some may not agree with me but :

my view is that if you install it yourself then if in the future it gets a fault you know how to put it right without paying for and waiting someone to come back.

Ive installed my own and helped on others but always get the owner to do all the set up

for me the Golden rule is get the pole 100% vertical everything after that will then be easy

Hi arden is quite right. You will only be going for the installer every time the wind blows to dish out of line, but if you do the install yourself, then you will not be scared of fixing the dish and you will know what is needed to set things right.

You can be sure that we will give you all the help you need to do the job.

Just a wee question, can you set your dish low down, because if you can it helps when you are working at it? It is of no benefit to you to have the dish high, as long as your dish has a good sight of the arc. I have my 1.2Mtr dish on a concrete plinth in the middles of the lawn. The 90Cm dish is on the front wall of the cottage and is on two brackets.

You should really consider doing the install yourself. It is not that difficult to do and you will be able to do anything that need doing to the dish, when the need arises.

Don't know what the point of your question is, could you please explain a bit better? Do you mean that the dishes are moving because they have been installed by the owners, or that the installers are posting to drum up business?

Wheras using an installer, means that you would have to call them back and pay them each time the wind moves the dish a little.

Using an installer is no-guarantee that the dish won't move, it is the quality and type of components used to install it that is important. For example a clamp on a 2 inch pole is more likely to slip than one on a 3 inch one.

I'm sure there is a case for both sides. I fall into the category of each man to his own profession. I had my system fitted by an expert using top quality components, I have not had any problems at all. Using an installer is no guarantee that the dish won't move I agree, but I would rather trust a professional than me. I am sure that this site has it's share of good installers, what do they think?

Unless your totally useless with a drill, spanner and screwdriver, i would try the intsall yourself. I dont mean that in a rude way, some people who are not used to manual work, are a danger to themselves, climbing a ladder with drill in hand. Other than that your in the right place, in this forum for all the help you need. Im from northern ireland myself, and the only installers ive came across are sky installers.
