The clone boxes are almost identical to the original, you have to open it up and compare it to the original to really see what difference's there are. Also the eurovox guys who create the firmware's have added anti clone protection and the newer max and maxv firmwares cause problems and boxes end up needing jtagged to get them responding again. And there is nobody that is developing firmware updates for them, so they are a very risky purchase to the aware buyer and a unfortunate one to the unaware. There has been posts in the past with pictures of clones and originals highlighting the differences so perhaps a search will help you. If the clone you bought is a max-v box can you please take some pics of it inside and out to help us identify them to potential future buyers.
