anybody know if it's possible to get broadband via sat.

Internet via SAT is available in 2 forms...

1 - upload via phone line, download via Sat
2 - upload and download via Sat

The question is down to how big your pockets are

As BR says yes its quite possible, but it can be hellish expensive - especially if you want to uplink via sat as well.

Just had a quick look at the cost of an install I arranged for work..

To provide broadband speed (2MB) up and down via SAT with a limited of 5GB a month is currently costing £450 per month. Additional 1GB is £25, so not cheap !
