Default A few Question about hooking a Eurovox up with a DVD recorder with HDD

Hi guys, just wanted to ask a few questions about connecting my Eurovox to a DVD Recorder which has a HDD.
Currently my T.V is connected to the Eurovox via Coaxial, and has a spare scart lead. I am guessing that if I get a DVD recorder I need to connect it to my T.V via Scart lead and then connect the Eurovox to the DVD recorder via Coaxial. The reason I want to choose this set up is because my T.V unfortunately only has one scart cable connection at the back.
Would this work?
I am looking to buy the following DVD recorder: Buy LG RH266 | Analogue dvd recorder with 160gb hard drive - DVD Recorders and Home Cinema | Comet
Would this DVD recorder work as something similar to a SKY + box, in that you can pause and rewind live T.V?
And finally, does anyone have a similar set up to what I want, and what have been their experiences?
Thanks in advance, as ever guys!

It says, in the product description "Analogue tuner - will not receive digital channels", however I presume I can still record programmes of the Eurovox?

I've got that setup working as far as watching the channels is concerned , but not for recording, or using the DVD remote to control the euromax. My DVD recorder (Sony HX750) doesn't list Euromax as a connectable cable box. Let me know if you have better luck.

Must be my age or something, are you saying you cant record from the Eurovox? you must be able too surely if its connected properly when you click on timer you should be able to see a list of what channel whatever you want to record from which you then click on on my recorder it shows the five land based channels and also scart, which I have to click on if Im recording from the Eurovox ...

I see the land based channels listed for the recorder (I still have a direct cable feed to the TV, as well as a scart feed from the DVD which is connected to Eurovox). Bit it doesn't list the Eurovox channels which are on one of the TV's AV channels. Apparently, to see them, I've to specify which cable box...and eurovox is not one of the selectable options...

it wont list the eurovox channels m8 nor will the hdd-dvd remote control anything eurovox based. you will have to set the timer on the eurovox to change to the specific programme/channel when you want and set your recorder to record from the scart input at the required time. Im not 100% as I dont have 1 but think i can grasp the basic concept of what you need to do.

OK then try it this way ...set the television up so its showing the channel you want to record the press timer to set up start/end time etc then hopefully it will take it that thats the channel you want to record ...I know certain LG recorders work this way then after you have pressed Ok check in the settings for timer recording to see if its showing what you want to record, before you switch the recorder off ....
