Default Re: Recommend a good handheld GPS

Hi AS,
I have a Magellan hand held one and it is quite good, but it depends what you want to use the GPS for, for trekking, in the city or on a boat. The model I have is quite old, but is very good for trekking and even for boat work. I have used one the same way back in a small boat and could go back to a wreck every time with no problems. I got this one from Ebay and it was not that dear, not compared with the price I paid for the new one I bought some time ago, I sold it for no loss to another angler, for his small boat.

The model that I am referring to is the Magellan GPS 135, it is small enough to fit into a pocket, but has plenty of features, as I said it is an old model, but I think it is a very god one for all that. You can get a holder for the boat and a 12V adapter for it and it saves a fortune on the batteries.

Very best regards Wez
