Hi all,
I can't seem to get Canal+ (sport n movies) channels anymore. My receiver is Technomate 1500 CI+ and patched to latest (so I think), 18-02-2008 patch as of the private FTA provided link. Any ideas please? Also, because I can only get Hotbird at the moment as I don't have a motorised dish, what channels could I tune into (if any!) to watch the champions league? Your help as is very much appreciated, as always! Best regards, Azzguk. |

For channels shoving football the place to check is: *** L.J.·s LIVE Football and Sport on Satellite TV - Daily Football
I think Canal+ is not open by patches but the providers themselves open some of the channels (FTA) for short periods.

Thanks for the info bigtee?
Most of the channels my receiver is capable of de-crypting are viaccess system encrypted ones..any others for example Nagarvision, seca, conax, powervu ... are not de-crypted. Any ideas on why that is? and what will I need to be able to view them??? Execuse the stupied questions BTW!! |

The latest patch for your receiver is dated 21/02/08, 251p, available from alsat.
Your patched receiver can currently open the Premiere package, 19.2E, TPS & Polsat 13E, and Digi TV 1W. For TPS you need to tune your receiver to Sci Fi, France 5, or other channel using 10873 V 27500, until it opens then browse the rest of the package. For Polsat you need to manually update the keys which changed today. |

First of all: the patch (and the 18/02 patch is good though there is a later one) has to be regularly supplemented by 'keys'. The keys can be loaded manually via the remote or more conveniently via a softcam. I suggest that you learn how to load softcam: the procedure is similar to how you patch a receiver but a bit simpler.
To get the softcam the best place is the forum at _alsat.co.uk; you have to register in order to get to the sections where you find the keys and the softcam. Please note that the softcam you want is specifically the Technomate Softcam which should be so labelled or labelled as TM Softcam. Once you've figured it out you have to load the softcam every day or other day and that way your receiver should be able to open whatever is available to open. PS as you only have Hotbird, a quick fix is for you to replace your current LNB with a Monobloc; that way and without more you will have Hotbird and Astra 1 at 19e. Most Nagra channels (including the main channels for football) that are currently open are presently on Astra 1 and Digi TV at 1w. In future you might think of getting motorised and further in future ..... and further in future .... etc .... etc .... etc.

As I agree with bigtee, although why wait? get it motorised. A motor is only £30-40. |

Thank you bigtee, Robbo71, Michka and Yorks, You guys are great!
When I get home tonight I'll get on to this and see what happens. I will eventually get a motorised dish to get the most out of my receiver. BTW, I last night tuned into Canal +, I was happy I could view it again..However, one minute before kick off (Real Madid V Roma), the channel was gone!!! I was furious, I had to go to the pub n settle for Chelsa V Olympiakos No hard feelings chelsea fans ![]() |
