With a freesat box you will get Freesat. With a decent box you will get a lot more.

I would love to get a box with all that for £150, if you happen to find any please let us all know as I am sure we would all like to have such a bargain.

I don't think that you would get a box with these specs for that money, but I stand to be corrected, as always.

Very best regards wez

Can a satellite dish pick up a signal behind dubbel glazing?

A very interesting question mate, I cannot see any reason why it should not, but it is interesting. Some of the guys will know as I am not very sure, AS or Nano should know, as will some others.

Very best regards Wez

yes/and/no?

if the window is large enough?
the dish would be better bigger than recomended, due to the signel will be attenuated.

I'm pretty sure that it's possible, it depends on the glass type, and if any coatings/special content is used. The only way to find out for sure if a particular window will work is to try it.

ok I know its a long time ago, but i asked a Q about would it work through double glazing.
Just to let you know the answer was NO, ok the glazing is special, has a sun reflecting coating and it could be triple glazed, im at the airport terminal.
When i was inside i only got 3% signal, so i took it outside and it worked perfect, the only problem i need to be descreet so i cant hang a 80cm dish on the wall (airport police), so i bought an acron sweety 43cm. didnt put it up yet but will soon, when nobody is looking.
shall keep you informed
chris
