Hi gewdraa, if you just want uk tv then a single fixed dish and a sly digibox would be the easiest option for you. However if you want the sly uk channels and have the option to get lots more then you should opt for a motorised setup and a decent sat receiver. You could have a multi lnb dish but that does restrict your future options re sats received.
In either case, unless you subscribe to sky, you will only be able to receive the fta (free to air) channels or the fta and ftv (free to view) channels with a ftv card.

Jim thanks for your reply
Could you tell me which is a good sky receiver or a receiver that accepts the sky card. If i understand correctly i can get a card that lets me see ftv channels; will this card work directly here in belgium or do i need to activate it in the uk first. I really appriciate your help |

You should be able to pick up one from eBay. Hopefully somone who has bought an FTV card will know how it gets activated as I just use an ex subscription one myself. |

I understand that some of the Technomate TM3xxx series receivers do accept the card, but may not keep it alive, ie you may have to put the card in a genuine Sky box every Month to re-activate it.
You should be able to get a Sky Box and Card off ebay as has been mentioned, an ex-subscription card will get all the free channels for you.

Octagon receivers (with older s/w) work with a Sly card but the easiest way is with a sky digibox

Sky+ needs 2 cables from the lnb & has a hard drive inside it to record onto.
