Default cut talkback

hi guys ive just cut talkback on a 1000 and 4000-T and i plugged into mains to test but ive read that you are supposed to have a middle led should flashh then remain on then flash again yet on both boxes there is no flash led

1)is box meant to be connected to stream to test

2) should card be inserted

3) ive looked in engineer menu but i cant see anything to tell me if cut has worked

Thanks for all the help ive been given on a number of occassiones

Thanks for all the help ive been given on a number of occassiones
Connect cable ,it doesnt matter if cards in or out, the lights dont always work so dont worry about that, go into virgin menu technical stuff , settings and it should say reverse path off, when you try on demand you should get box up saying unavailable.

After ive connected the white cable and gone into engineers menu do you know what page the settings are on to see if reverse path is off

Sorry red ive just found out after going into home on the remote on my sub is what you were refering to, but i didnt think that by not having card in you could get into home on remote, have not tested this yet with other box or have i become confused

press guide then scroll down to settings press that then technical stuff,then you will see dhcp return path is off or on. it is in eng menu as reverse path i think.

Yes thanks lads i got there in the end but one box 4000 has worked but the 1000 just comes up with channel numbers at bottem of screen and the rest of the screen is black and i cant get into settings,when i press home or guide buttons nothing comes up. any ideas on this. the net id has 5 digits whilst the other box which works has 4 if this is of any help

The net id should be the same as other box, set it with funcard net id v2.

I dont have any luck with the funcard that came with box do you think i should reset net id with libby as i can use prog serial cable thanks for your help red
