Default Re: Just Saying Hi- How to scan channels on Sky Box

Hi FOLIE,
Try switching the box of at the mains and then pull the plug out of the socket, leave it for at least 2 minutes.

Plug the box back in to the mains, turn the power back on at the plug. Now turn the box on USING THE SKY BUTTON ON THE REMOTE CONTROL, YOU NEED TO USE THE SKY BUTTON, DO NOT USE THE STANDBY BUTTON.

This will do a reset on the box and the box should then scan for all the channels and after a few minutes it should go to the Sky customer channel, after that all the channels should now work for you.

Very best regards Wez

Yes, The Box Was Disconnected For A While - We Did The Software Restart - We Are Getting The Channels But They Crack And Break Up. Our Sky Box Is A Panasonic Tu-dsb31, If That Helps Anyone? I Also Lef It On The Travel Channel For A Couple Of Days As That Was - Some Time Ago - A Trick? Nto Sure Anymore.

Hi, I tried your suggestion and nothing seems to work, I got to the Sky customer channel and then got no satellite signal received - went into the menu and got the channels and then the signals were not clear, cracking and zig zag lines across the screen. Of course we are in Madeira, but I do have a 1m90 dish and normally it should work, I get the free channels, sports, such as Eurosport and Sky Sports so I really think it is tied in with frequencies. So any more assistance would be appreciated.

sounds like your dish needs it's alignment checked or you have a faulty LNB?
