remote not working and lcd blank

can any one help me with this problem is it possible that a remote control wont work if there is no lcd display are is there another reason

if you get blinking led the box might need new flash as any dbox will work without a working lcd.

check the internal fuse its usualy round red one

im sorry guys but i think i have misled the lcd is not connected to the board the copper strand on the lcd is not long enought to reach but i bought it of guess you all no ebay and not as discribe would i be right in getting a new lcd display unit

just use box without my spare one has not got one
plug box to pc by ethernet and xover modem cable use IFA that way you can see the box in com window comuicating with pc.

thanks for your help and advice find the problem it is that the lcd display is not connected to the board and the sesor for the remote is to the right side facing the box is bugger but i wonder if anyone knows is the ribbon on the nokia box shorter than the one on the sagem as it is inpossible to connect the lcd whats with to box to the board as the ribbon is to short it does work if you can connect it had a nokia one connected it work fine but that is with the box strip down
