Default C1501 a good DVB C Card?

He all, I am new to this forum, however I am not new to this world as I have a replay box. I am looking to watch cable on my PC, I have been looking for a DVB C Card and everyone is mentioning the C1500, But that seems out of production now. I have however seen the C1501 which seems the upgrade version to that, is this a good card?

My PC Specs are

AMD Athlon FX 6000MHZ Processor (Dual Core)
2 Gig Ram
Over 500 Gig Hard drive
2 x Nvidia 8500 GT Graphics Cards (SLI Linked)
Creative X-Fi Sound Card
Windows Vista 32Bit Ultimate Version

Would the C1501 work with my machine?

Thanks in Advance

Syth

apologies for jumping in late, I am heading down this path and was about to get started with a 1500 but see its now the 1501 had to stop a regroup. Did either of you get the 1501 working ?

I would just like to know if someone has done it before I buy.

Hi MAte

I still have not received it yet, am waiting for the delivery to come through. Hopefully I should get it tomorrow. It shouldn't take that long to get here from Germany. Mind you, maybe the weather has delayed it coming across or something like that.
As soon as I get it and its up and working I shall let you guys know on this website. If anyone else succedes before me, please let us know.

Thank You in Advance.

Gday Sythlord

I am waiting to see how you get on and reading other posts. Would really like to see this 1501 work. I have not figured out how often you need to update the "keys" when using a softcam. Even if "keys" is the correct term. Good luck !!!

Hi Ugg.

This is a good card as it does work. I don't know whether its any better or worse then the 1500 card but this is working fine for me.
I am using progdvb with a softcam and it is working fine. hope this helps. If you need any more info then pm me.
