I am having trouble finding someone to install my new motorised dish. I would do it myself... but it's on the third storey of my house. Anyone know of any good Installation Engineers? I live in North Staffordshire.

Just a small town called Leek. On the border with Derbyshire and Cheshire, close to Stoke-on-Trent

Does the dish have to be that high? Is there something in the way if it is lower down?

I live in a conservation area and the dish has to be 'unseen' from the roadside. There is also nowhere to go behind the house!

It can't be seen an you want to stick it on the third floor of the house
![]() The reason why nobody will touch it is because of the height. I'm used to working generally upto four stories off a ladder but i have had to go on a working at heights course and i won't under any circumstances go up that high without my safety gear on. Most of the smaller companies don't bother with this and thus have a tendency not to do work much above the height of your normal 2 story house I will be suprised if you get anybody to do it for you and if they do agree they will ask top dollar for it ![]() ![]() Nano

Cheapest quote was £380 which is for 2 engineers due to the height. With the help of a couple of friends I am looking into installing it myself. After reading up on it, it seems quite straightforward.
Wish me luck!

Not for me, I go all wobbly looking up at high dishes. What happens when it goes of the arc, due to high winds, who is going to go up to sort it out? It would be way better if you could have it low down, even if you have to take it right to the bottom of the back garden.
Very best regards Wez
